Andre Iguodala has his best season ever in the NBA as he took off after the trade of Allen Iverson to the Denver Nuggets. Iguodala played in 76 games last season and he averaged 40.3 minutes, 18.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game. He also shot the ball all right as he hit 44.7% from the floor, 31% from three point range and 82% from the free throw line. Look for Iguodala to even be a better basketball player next season for the Sixers.

Iguodala’s numbers are starting to spike upwards as the Sixers are depending on him more on offense. In 240 career games, Iguodala has averaged 36.8 minutes, 13.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.0 steals per game. His shooting percentages actually went down except for free throws. Iguodala has now hit 47.5% from the floor, 33.2% from 3-point range and 78.5% from the free throw line.

A couple of players are stepping up for the Philadelphia 76ers as of late

Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert are both taking their games to new levels the last couple of weeks. In his last 6 games, A.I. is averaging 20.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He’s the perfect complement to point guard Andre Miller because both of them are such unselfish players which is a breath of fresh air in Philly. Dalembert has really been an enforcer in the paint in his last 6 games as he’s averaging 13.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 block per game. He’s also hitting 59.7% from the floor in those games which is why he’s getting the basketball more.

Andre Iguodala having a good season

Andre Iguodala has benefitted the most from the 76ers getting rid of Allen Iverson and Chris Webber because he’s getting a lot more shots. His offensive play is the best it’s ever been and his defense has stayed at a high level. The new A.I. is averaging 17.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game this season and the scoring average will probably go up in the second half as the Sixers will look to him more on offense. He’s shooting a very solid 46% from the floor and 82.8% from the free throw line which are pretty impressive percentages. The only thing he really needs to improve on is his three point shooting as he’s only hitting 28.8% of them.

Samuel Dalembert steppin’ up

Samuel Dalembert has benefitted the most from the addition of Andre Miller to the Sixers. In his last 8 games, Dalembert is averaging 14.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 3.0 blocks per game. Dalembert is getting more open shots due to the great passing of Andre Miller. Look for Dalembert’s fine play to continue.

Kyle Korver has really played well in his last 7 games. He has averaged 33.6 minutes, 16.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steal per game over this stretch. He also has shot 47.8% from the floor which helps spread the floor and opens up the court to other Sixers.
