Sixers smoked 113-98 by the Wizards

The Sixers were playing without Allen Iverson, as he demanded a trade earlier in the day. The Sixers allowed the Wizards to hit 50% of their shots from the floor, and the Sixers were outscored 65-46 in the second half in the loss.

Chris Webber led the way with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Kyle Korver also had a solid game with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Andre Iguodala had a solid game with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Willie Green (12 points) and Steven Hunter (10 points) each pitched in on the offense.

The Sixers fell to 5-13 with this loss.

Allen Iverson soon to be through in Philly

Allen Iverson abruptly demanded a trade on last Friday and has played his last game as a Sixer. Iverson played in 15 games this season and has averaged 42.7 minutes played per game. Iverson averaged 31.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game. The Sixers will not be a better team without him no matter what they get in return.

For his career as a Sixer, A.I. has played in 697 games and averaged 41.7 minutes per game. Iverson averaged 28.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 2.3 steals per game for his career. Iverson will certainly be missed in Philadelphia as he was the best Sixers player since Julius Erving.

Sixers destroyed by Bulls 121-94

The Sixers came out flat and the Bulls built up a 69-48 haltime lead and then cruised to victory in the second half. The Bulls also dominated the Sixers on the boards 43-29.

Allen Iverson led the way for the Sixers with 25 points and 7 assists. Samuel Dalembert played tough inside with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Andre Iguodala (13 points and 4 assists) and Kyle Korver (13 points) each helped out on offense.

The Sixers are now 5-12 on the season after this loss.

Sixers get swept over weekend

The Sixers lost in New Jersey 112-107 on Saturday Night and then got beat 95-84 at home on Sunday.

Allen Iverson has moved over to point guard and he has played well. Iverson averaged 31.5 points and 8.5 assists per game over the weekend. Rookie Rodney Carney moved into the starting line-up and averaged 15.0 points per game. Chris Webber finally is a little healthy and averaged 13.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Andre Iguodala was busy averaging 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. Samuel Dalembert averaged 9.5 points and 10.0 rebounds.

The Sixers have fallen to 5-11 on the season.
