Kyle Korver added 20 points and 4 rebounds off the bench. Samuel Dalembert had a strong game with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Willie had an off night shooting (6 of 17) but he finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

76ers get huge haul in trading Allen Iverson to the Denver Nuggets

Blogged under Big Sixers News, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 20 December 2006 at 12:59 pm

The Philadelphia 76ers finally traded Allen Iverson and they got a huge haul for him. The Sixers also traded rookie forward Ivan McFarlin with Iverson for point guard Andre Miller, forward Joe Smith, and 2 2007 first round draft picks.

Andre Miller is one of the best point guards in the NBA. He’s unselfish and makes all the players on his team better than they really are. Miller has played in 21 games this season and has averaged 35.7 minutes, 12.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.52 steals per game so far this season. Joe Smith has played in 11 games this year and has averaged 13.5 minutes, 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season.

For Miller’s career, hehas played in 594 games and had averaged 34.2 minutes, 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Joe Smith has played in 762 games and has averaged 29.1 minutes, 12.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game so far this season.

Andre Miller will make Andre Iguodala a superstar, and will help Chris Webber play much better than he has so far this season. Also, look for Kyle Korver to increase his scoring due to Miller getting the ball to him more when he’s open. Joe Smith will back up Webber and give the Sixers quality minutes off the bench.

Andre Iguodala the new main man in Philly?

Blogged under Steppin Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Friday 15 December 2006 at 10:14 pm

Andre Iguodala is the likely focal point of the Sixers offense the rest of the season as Allen Iverson will soon be gone. Iguodala is averaging 14.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game so far this season. Andre is shooting 47.4% from the floor and 80.2% from the line. Iguodala is a great finisher on the fast break and he’s got good moves to the basket. Look for him to average about 20 points per game the rest of the season for the Sixers.
